Continued from yesterdays posting...

So we finally arrive at our hotel (the Pulai) at about 7pm. Not a bad hotel, situated on a 22km stretch of uninterrupted beach- looking out over the South China Sea.
A relaxing evening in preparation for race the next day.
As the start/ finish line was a few miles away from our hotel, I brought my mountain bike with me as trasnsportation. I arrived at the start line on the beach about a half hour before the start of the race to a sea of yellow swim caps...

More to come with tomorrows posting.

Hi Dan,

A running step with full detail. I like shadows on ground and blurry backgrounds. Congratulations.

Best Regards,

Parbo

Now this is a great shot - can't understand why there aren't more views and smileys. The clarity and detail is amazing, and the way you were able to freeze the action is incredible. A nice touch is that you can even see the sweat on the runner's legs. Fantastic work!

What's interesting with this photo Dan is the reflection bouncing up on the right foot (his left). Super sharp detail with the legs in the air. Incredible details shown here. Just below his left knee I can see some interesting shapes. I am puzzled by that. Not sure at all!

Hi Dan,
a great series, a great detail here showing the runner's legs in the full sweat and in action.
The blur around him is perfect.
Colours are superb.
Wonderful shot!

Hey Dan,

Great shot! I love the close up of the legs in full details. I think it's fantastic how you captured the guy just before hitting the ground. Great composition with great colours and quality!

Greetings,
Ann

Hi Dan,

Great close up. Beautiful capture... motion, lights, colours.

I can feel his pain!

Thanks

Tony

Hello Dan,

Running for his life with his brand new runners on without one mark on them. You can see in his legs that he has trained very hard for this competion and I hope that he had a good result. tsf Richard.

Hi dan, i'am impressed by the sharpness on his legs especially the right one...the dynamic takes you right into the race and the effort! well done!
Eric

Hey Dan! I guess you're doing the hard part taking the pictures while your brother runs ;)

You had a great idea on this one, it's a simple effective composition but technically very hard to execute perfectly but you seem to have done it nicely. Your timing is perfect getting his feet off the ground. The narrow DOF really spotlights the attention on his legs and their sharpness.

Great job!
Doug

Hi Dan,
original sport picture !
I like the number and your timing with no shoes on the ground.
The short DOF is really good.
Well done
