[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A Kelong located in the Straits Of Johor, the waterway that separates Singapore from Malaysia.
Taken from a ferry awaiting departure for the half hour trip from Malaysia to Singapore.

One of many shots that was taken on a spur of the moment trip to Malaysia yesterday, to catch my brother in The Desaru 1/2 Ironman Triathlon.

A Kelong is a series of bamboo poles that are driven into the seabed, and laced with netting to capture fish, squid, and other delectable seafood.

I hope you like the photo,
- Dan

Hi Dan,
I like it. I like the monotony, the lightning, the colours and the special atmosphere.

Good image, conveys a very peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. I bet though it was hot and humid like hell. The unusual format serves the image really well. I don't think I can describe the color of the sky, but it is beautiful.

Hi Dan, I love the photo- for its lovely, delicate colours and the aura of serenity, and the composition- the black trees and kelong divides the picture into two colour zones, it creates a really nice effect...
best regards!

Hi Dan,
I find three elements in this photo lovely, one, the even wonderful sky, two, the dark part on the righthand, and the foreground with the poles and water, excellent composition.
Lovey work here.
John.

Hi Dan - this is very simple, and like most simple compositions, it is beautiful. The colour is wonderful and the line of poles provides a great focal point which also tells us something about the culture. Well done!

Hi Dan

Superb mood & atmosphere. I like the subtle colors. Excellent sharpness tonal range & lighting, with a superb silhouette of the pier. Well done!

Good morning Dan -

Wonderful colors! I realy like the pastel color of the sky and how is seamlessly merges with the sea. Exposure seems to dead on but I feel that the trees need just a little more detail.

Thanks for sharing
