| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Hello TE friends,
Well, some have posted a photo of their "village". Now this my attempt to take a snap of "My Village" - Kuching, the state capital of Sarawak with a population of about half a million. In the foreground is the Sarawak River, almost perfectly still at this hour when there is no wind or boat.
I arrived at 5am when it was still dark and kept shooting with the aid of a tripod, every now and then till 7am. The colours of the city and sky changes as the sun rises from my left.
Another shot taken at a slightly different time is posted in the WS for your comparison. I would welcome any feedback from all TE members.
Thanks and regards

Dear Alfred!
Amazing point of view.
Wonderful modern architecture.
Interesting cityscape.
TFS!
nice concept luv the reflection
Hello Alfred. Only passionate photographer will go to your extend in capturing the beautiful morning glow. The color of the building looks more pleasant against the morning light and the reflection is so stunning. I might want to show more foreground and keeping the sky a tad lower, close to the building. Well done and best regards. Jusni
Hello Alfred,
You have captured your Village very well with that early morning sun giving it a beautiful golden glow. Patience paid off. & I like the title I think it is very suitable, The longer exposure has had a good softening effect on the reflection. Both good shots.
Thanks

Awesome morning shot of your city across the Sarawak Alfred. I enjoyed your workshop as well. It's amazing how fast the light changes the scene early in the morning like this. I like the nice clean lines seen in this shot, the early morning suits this place and your capture. Your composition is good with the city reflected in the water, though you might go for a longer landscape and cut out some of the sky, and I like the placement of the tree on the right. Colour is very good as is your sharp detail.
Thanks, enjoyed! John
