[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This happy worker smiled and kept looking at me when I was holding a camera, he could be interested to be photographed. I was new then and you can see that I was not that experienced to crop out his feet in my composition. But this Pakistani worker could be away from home for too long and felt happy to be shot. His work overall was providing a great color contrast to his working environment and I waited for him to align himself with the machine of same color tone. Alas, I forgot to note his feet. Behind him, you can see the heavy equipment used for installation of river piles for building a bridge. (Not intentional pose, he just turned back and looked at me when he saw me photographing).

Although this type of scene may not be of keen interest to some viewers, I felt that since I shot this, I would share how work places might also be very nice in photography. On the actual scene, it was very rugged site conditions and hot, dusty and not conducive for visitors (no toilet).

But I hope some of you get some idea how workers contribute to nation building.

Thank you for viewing. Regards, Bill

hello Bill,
pitty about those feet, but other than that I quite like this photo, particularly the contrast between the rough and dirty industrial scene and bright colours of the man's overalls. he actually seems to be inviting you to help them to unload that truck :)
smart composition, the truck is a good "frame" and nicely leads the eye into the shot. well seen and presented.
with kind regards,
Kristine

Hi Bill
interesting composition with excellent colours and light.

Olá Bill,
gosto desses retratos das pessoas trabalhadoras e felizes, são elas que carregam esse mundo nas costas. Boas cores em sua imagem também.
Parabéns e Abraço!

Hi Bill,
Interesting shot with beautiful contrasting colours.

Santo

Hello Bill,

He looks happy and that's ok to capture a happy face. Good close look at your daily life and the busyness of the equipments are well established in this composition.

Best regards and have a wonderful weekend ahead.

Hill Bill,

Nice subject with the worker clothes' color matching the boat. The red is attractive and catch the eye. Nicely composed. Its a pity that the guy's face seems a bit noisy, his features are not visible.

bonjour BILL.
bonne photo document!
belles scene de vie!
amitiés....aldo.

Hi Bill , intresting perspective of the photo. :-) I like the colours and contrast, but i see u had a little problems with sharpness ;-) but still the atmosphere on ur shot is well shown. Greetings

Hello Bill,

I don't like this image as much as I like your landscape photos, but it is an important photo nevertheless and enhances the variety in your gallery. I have very few 'people photos' in my gallery so perhaps it is something I should develop. The active work of this photo is interesting. It shows that you have learnt much since your joining of TE, as you say about the missing feet. The image has a lot of character though and is certainly a worthy upload. Well done, have a good week Bill.

Matt

Hi Bill,
I appreciate your note a lot and the effort you put in to bring this shot to us. Sometimes pretty landscapes are not what one needs to see all the time. The atmosphere was captured well here.
Its a good shot.

Shaeri

Hi Bill
A nice set of captures you have here with the construction work and the details we normally don't see. Together with your note it gives a complete picture of the event

Hello Bill, you have captured very well this moment, the detail with the feet that you refer I think is very minor. I like very much the expressive face of the worker and the colors on your shot. Also I like the track on the right with its load that adds perspective. Greetings,
Kostas.

Hello Bill.

Somehow that man turning back and looking at you is the best point of the photo. Maybe because it gives a more human touch.
Maybe I am wrong but that's why I like it.

Regards.

Hey there Bill,

A very interesting photo. Love the composition and the cadre as a whole. It is nicely saturated, with good selection of colors and details A lot of elements in the photo. Good work.

Hi Bill,
It's remarkable how you were able to produce such attractive image with a subject that isn't exactly beautiful. You tidy compo and the red of the machine combining with the worker's cloth contributes much to it.
Regards, José.

Ola Bill ,
Bonita foto de trabalhadores em acção , o homem em primeiro plano com a roupa vermelha ficou fantastico devido ao vermelho da roupa dele originou um contraste de cores muito bom , parabéns!!!!
Um abraço Gonçalo

Hi Bill,
Very colorful capture of this construstion worker that seems happy but tired after a long day at work. Honest labor is what makes this world go around and you have wonderfully capture it is this fine image.
Regards, Tom

cropping pout feet was my specialty, the friend i travelled to argentina with used to tell me off all the time about this till i learned to watch, actiually sometimes i thought it would be not so bad when they were notinteresting feet and maybe the sky was nicerr , but i gather this is an unconventional POV !!!
