[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I was on visit with my camera and thought this is a nice view to capture. The tall red/white frame is the piling equipment used to install foundation support into the river bed. Steel pipe casing in rusty color can be seen to the left, above the water, and which will form and support the river pier.

This photo shows work in progress for building a bridge across the Rajang River, spanning a total length of 1240m with 3 piers in water. Hopefully by another 2 years, we can see a bridge being used by passengers to get across the river.

Sarawak is a land of many rivers and most of the time, due to limited funds, bridges are not affordable, therefore the local people need to use river transport and which is inconvenient. As infrastructure is slowly to be provided, the road network will be expanded to benefit rural folks. This bridge is intended to provide a link from Sibu to a future sea port 50km away.

Thank you for viewing. Regards, Bill

Bonjour Bill
Cliché intéressant avec un mélange de couleurs harmonieux : le bleu du ciel, la colonne rouge et blanche et le gris de l'eau.
Merci pour le partage et bonne journée.
Nicole

Hello Bill,
An interesting daily life shot with lots going on. Everything is nicely placed in the frame and the whole has good clarity. It seems like quite a long bridge.

Hello Bill,

Good collection of pictures while you are working. Thanks for sharing them with us.

The mile marker in the foreground balances well with the towering piling equipment and well contrasting in colors too. Well placed horizon of the swampy coastline against teh wide sky.

Regards and have a nice day.
