Beautiful evening light is used to make this image special. The red boats are seen in fine detail as they contrast beautifully with the green of the trees and the dark blue sky. Wonderful sharpness and depth to this fine photo.

Hello Bill,

Boats and water can never go wrong in a post and you have made thisone really good. The light shines really well giving vibrant colors and well captured boats. Well placed in this perspective against the beautiful backdrop of green area. I like the tree with handsome foliage at the back.

it's all about colors and light in this one, isn't it? :) the moment does seem golden. one almost can sense the water-side aroma radiating from your pic and hear clacking sound of the boats beating against each other and the docs. love the ambience, friend.

Hello Bill,

Great lighting here, it really helps to create some delightful colour combinations. The boats take up a good percentage of the photo. They are very good looking vessels; neatly painted in colourful tones. The patterning in the silvery water is marvelous, suggesting there was little wind and conditions were good for boating. Great sharpness defines all edges effectively. One thing I notice in this photo is the tow trees in the background look like Australian eucalypts. I wonder if this is true, and if they are regarded as a pest species in SE Asia, in a similar way as they are viewed in California. The side-framing works well in this vertical format.

hej Bill Kuching the town of the cat's
Is it true the story about the town that when the first europeans came they asked some locals about the name and pointed at the settlent and the man said Kuching because there was a cat sitting where he pointed.
NIce photo anyway colors are stunning and the sky is dramatic as it could be close to the equator.

You've captured this scene in excellent light! That cloud bathed in the sunset hue stands out against the darkish sky. Fine compo. with the two boats, almost looking like a mother-daughter holding hands. The vertical framing is also very apt. Good work!

quite amazing light! I like the mother and child feel of the two boats and the stormy sky ion teh background is a nice contrast to the golden sunset...one would almost expect a rainbow somewhere in this sky...
