Photographer’s Note
The network of timber-bamboo platforms is elevated on wooden pillars. These traditional walkways link all buildings around the Bidayuh longhouse settlement.
The Bidayuh people were also known as the "Engineers of Bamboo". They are the second largest ethnic group in Sarawak, mostly Christians nowadays.
