Photographer’s Note
I was staying at a hotel near the river and had the good fortune to meet two TE members, Alfred and Bill, both of whom hail from Kuching. Both of them had posted a number of photos from both shores of the Sarawak River and they were keen for the three of us to start early and catch the glorious sunrise.
I was one of the first early birds to visit the hotel restaurant for a quick cup of coffee, pastry and fresh fruit, before I had to meet the duo. Unfortunately, when we got to the riverfront, it was a shy sun that met us, which decided to dress the morning in fairly conservative colours. Still, there is a subtle beauty to the pastel hues and the diffused light.

Ciao Caro Klaudio (I'm still trying to work out my new nickname? :) Firstly you get brownie points for waking up so early just to get the shot - although with human alarm clocks like Alfred and Bill, how could you go wrong? I love those early morning hues (rarely seen by me as I'm usually snoring). Your DOF is great and you've dealt well with the extreme shade in the FG. Have a wonderful weekend what's left of it. I've got the Monday Work Blues already, Lisa.

Hi daddo!!
I remember I´ve posted one with similar title...
Yours is very good, a nice and quiet moment, peaceful and delicate...

Hello Klaudio,
I was in Kuching almost 33 years ago. How it must have changed...
Still, something of that lazy, hot and humid atmosphere lingers on in this picture, which shows a bit of the traditional life mixed with modern times.

Gert

Hi Klaudio,
I like the light in this photo, and I think you managed to capture it very well! And I recognize that building which is on the right, in the BG (it was in Bill's photos).
Well, we never are able to guess what tricks weather will play on us! so we should be prepared for anything... :)
Interesting photo, though it is one of those kinds of composition which I call "complicated" and difficult to handle...
Warm regards,
Elena

Hello Klaudio,
For some reason I find sunrise more interesting than sunset, maybe because of the promise in the situation with a brand new day ahead..!
And the atmosphere of course, wonderful light like here with the rising sun adding a shimmering surface to the water...
I notice the ferryman already has started the day, and the impressive structure in the back is well placed!
Greetings,

Hello Klaudio!
In this one, in addition to the well chosen pov and the very successful composition, what mostly impresses me is the excellent management of light. The texture of the water surface is also a very nice feature in this image! Colors please me a lot too!
TFS - congratulations!
Best regards,
Neyvan
