Photographer’s Note
Most village houses in the countryside is still in wooden style, built some 30, 40 years ago. Made of hardwood such as belian, the house can stand for a long time once the wood is treated properly.
This house belongs to the village head. It is two-storey and the staircase leads to the upper floor. The area is typical of a village house which often stored up produces from the land. In this case, those sacks contain black pepper grains for which Sarawak is famous for.

hi Allec
I like it.
I find this one to be very interesting capture of the typical interior of village house that is so comfortable to local villages who seem to enjoy and relax more in such environment than a city dwelling, perhaps more to the social gathering and close knit family grouping often times found in such village house.
Good work.
