Retreat at Lundu town
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Everytime I visit coastal town of Lundu, I enjoy viewing this bay where the land protrudes into the South China Sea and where the hill is overgrown with lush green vegetation.
Spending better part of 3 hours or more on this spot under hot scorching sun, I still feel satisfied walking around this area.
It is also a great spot for a swim, besides quenching thirst with a coconut drink. Walking on the sandy beach is a relaxation mode.
In framing this shot, I find the lines very simple and water is just sufficient, the hill itself as a dividing line, a bit of scattered clouds. I have seen more beautiful weather here, but in recent months, the sky is always cloudy or hazy.
Half hour away by slow boat, you can find 2 islands where protected turtles come to lay eggs, also good for snorkling.
Thank you for viewing.

Hello Lau,
Very good exposure and focus, the clarity of the white beach can be cleary seen, must be a wonderful place to be and explore, will try to be in this paradise when I am in Kuching!
If the rule of third more on the sea will give great sense of depth to the far horizon when you have hazy sky like this!, Just my thought!
Thank you for sharing and the useful notes
cheers
Tony

SImple and interesting shot, good slightly muted colors. From this POV hills looks like a breasts, ha!
Hello Bill. Sometimes you don't need fancy gizmo's for beautiful composition. A true horizontal perspective capturing the subjects without any distraction. I was thinking of this of an island until you mentioned it as a bay. Good clean shot with sharp details and obeyed the rule of third (kinda boring... I know!). well done and have a nice day. Regards, Jusni.
