hello Bill,
glad to read you made it back safely :) but I'd say the photo was well worth the risk, it's a fascinating close-up of this spil stone, I don't think a photo from further away would have the same impact. fascinating textures, they look a bit like melted chocolate :) very nice work, but do I detect a slight blue cast? minor point though.
with best regards,
Kristine

Hello Bill,
Is this an amazing formation, very strange occurrence..!
The cliff looks like an old rusty ship wreck that's been laying on the beach for ages...
This is a good photo documentary of this strange phenomenon!

You were very adventurous to get the picture but it was well worth it.
Good POV with the people standing looking at the rocks.
Very good definition on the rocks.

Hello Lau,
Very impressive to see the rock cliff that splited in a way like this, just like a knife-cut in a straight line! looks like our earth below had moved quite a bit since last Sunami along the coast itself!
many thanks for the sharing and the notes
best regards

The sky looks a bit washed out but let forget it. The photo is about the wonderful rock which shows lots of its geological history. Thanks for it.

Hello Bill,
This rock resembles rather the old rusted hull of a ship failed here for a long time. It is an original image. Very beautiful colors, in spite of the sky a little less natural. Beautiful work.
Have a nice day

hello Bill
this rock is strange,we could think that this is a bad stitch of 2 photos, because of the line separating the 2 parts!I like its soft aspect and its coulours! The 2 persons give an idea of how high is the rock!Very well done with a good note!
Cheers.

Hi Bill,
The risk has been paid of. This somehow a painted hill version of Asia in wet lands. The addition of people gives us sense of scale how big this rock is. Well done.

Hello Bill,
impressive this rock in the sea with the photographers to capture it.With the first glance i thought that you have made a montage of two different rocks but reading your note i determined my fault.Excellent presentation with the men to add life in the scene.Very informative and useful your note.

Hi Bill
It resembles the bark of a tree, even though it's obviously made of stone. Good color contrasts, between the red & blue, with superb sharpness. Tfs!

Hi Bill,
Strange and scenic rock... Terrific POV, great colours and sharpness. It's always nice to to have a photographer in the image and here it is very important to give a sense of scale.

Hi Bill!
What a nice texture! Great, different! Its nice that you've included the photographers to give us the dimension of it all. I just would like to see a little bit of hue regulation on the ciano, giving a little bit of blue tones to the sky.

Zeca

hello bill
that's quite some rock you've caught there... i like the tectonic texture and the color seems to go well with your blue dominated background. i notice, the overall white balance is quite skewed towards cold (judging by the white t-shirts): just wondering what would the scene look like if you took a warmer approach? nice to include those tourists into the picture: gives betters sense of scale.
warm regards,
kristaps

Hi Bill,
I am still trying to understand this rock. REally amazing this phenomenon. At first sight I thought it was a rest of wrecked boat, full of rust. Thanks a lot you were able to get there and document this. Really impressive.

Hi Bill,
I think the most interesting aspect of this photo is the split in the rock. It really looks like it is cut with a giant rock slicer and switched sides making it look 'unnaturally' misaligned. Interesting POV.
TFS.

Alvin
