The Suluk children off Maiga Island put on a little dance by the shallow, their playground and sandbox with a glimpse of their floating village at far left and another island, Bohey Dulang at top center.
The islands off Semporna are generally populated by the Suluks and the Sea Bajau, the semi nomadic maritime ethnic along the eastern seaboard of Sabah.
The islanders eke out a living as coastal fishermen, seaweed farmers or hired hands on fishing vessels.

really superb Rabani!
What a great use of the wide angle to compose this great, colorful and joyful image

Who said portraits are best not shot in wide angle!!!!You have proved that wide angle portraits can also be nice. Excellent shot. Great energy and innocent fun. I just feel a bit of fill-flash would have lit up the far left kid a bit more to make the overall light balanced.(see WS)
Great Work Though!

Your shot is incredibly good. The management of the light and the depth of field are excellent. Super work!

Splendid daily life-picture.
Beautiful portrait of these dancing children in the glittering water with a great view on the island(s) behind them and on the stilt houses at the left.
Best regards, Paul

A wonderfully expressive shot. I love the horizontal distortion caused by the lens. Great positioning of the silt house there too!
Light on the central character is perfect, but on the guy left at the back the fill flash let you down a bit.
