The Lone Tree Photo

Photographer’s Note

The Lone Tree is a lone Casuarina tree that is still standing on the sandstone rockface on the side of the rocky promontory that makes the Tip of Borneo.

With the northern wind that has been gnawing this side of the tip, pretty soon this last tree standing would go where the other trees had gone before him. Just another flotsams, drifting with the waves or incessantly thrown by the white tip waves against the rock from which it had stood before.
