[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Dedicated to Kudat's hometown boy, Rabani.

Tanjung Simpang Mengayau or Tip of Borneo has bedrocks partly submerged into the sea, and partly carved into interesting shapes and groves by action of strong wind over a long period of time. What is so interesting about rocks? To geologists and archeologists perhaps, who can tell you the formation, history and transformation process. To ordinary photographer like you and me, the place is very scenic and a great place to unwind and take in the beauty of nature. Why not? Along the drive to this place, you can actually find many places of interest too, if you know how and where to look. Names like Kota Belud, Kudat, Kota Marudu. Allow one day at least.

Happy viewing. Regards, Bill

hello Bill,
I'm neither geologist nor archeologist, but these rocks certainly look interesting, I like a lot the texture and colour, this combination makes the rocks look a little like melted chocolate :) the low point of view works really well too, nice work.

with kind regards,
Kristine

Thank you.

This is the 1st time I got a photo of my backyard from someone who has visited it. And taking the time, to study and finding its essence or its inherent visual values.

You see Bill, the characteristic of the rockface of this promontory facing the South China Sea is the main value. It's the face that meets the onslaught of rain, water and wind on daily basis since eon. It is the face like the faces of persons which shows the person's character or if not, what he has been going through. Haggard, weather bitten, resilient but still beautiful and friendly.

You know you are always welcome here.
Regards
Bani

Hey Bill!

Another great photo from your country. Just one of those from your gallery that makes me want to dive right in. Nicely composed, with beautiful colors, great clarity as usual and a fitting frame.

See you.

Hello Bill,
good texture and pattern on the rocks, Low POV works very well. Beautiful scene & very well captured. Any interesting road signs on these roads??.:)

Hello Bill. The natural course of the weather over millions of years has resulted in limestone karsts with many fascinating pinnacles and rock formations of various shapes and sizes. Beautiful dedication for Rabani with clear water in the foreground. Again, you have drawn the line well right to the bottom left of the frame. The cliff with the amazing rockface contrasting well here and the handsome trees with pleasant looking canopy looks awesome under diagonal lighting. Well done and best regards. Jusni

Hi Bil, great view of splendid roks over sea with fantastic colors, very well done, ciao Silvio

Hello Bill,
these rocks are very eccentrics and splendids too.
I like your picture.
Best wishes.
Christian .

Hello,

I like the detailed textures and the colours of the rock presented here. If only we had a boat to go out further to the right, you could get a compo to include more of the pattern of rock erosion on the left(which I think is interesting), without sacrificing the water on the right. Overall, its a great photo.

Regards
Alfred
