| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This photo is an example for a small group of photographers doing street at Gaya Street Fair in Kota Kinabalu. Gaya Street Fair is a Sunday Fair and it's named after the street where the fair is.
In this photo, a blind expression is given by a blind street musician as he turned his head sideway slightly before going into the next stanza, during his street performance.
The assignment for them was to shoot faces. And we know in photography, when we said face, we really mean the expression the face beholds. And sometimes, while the face might not give away anything, the eyes will. Well that's not always either.
By doing assignment or looking for the pictures that fit the story, you are being specific. It's a lot like a hunter hunting for a certain animal in a rainforest. He would be focused and the tools he used would be specific too. He would have just enough to get the job done. By giving yourself assignment, you are also fine tuning your basic photography skill to a certain discipline, developing your portfolio. |

Salam Bani,
Somehow it's a little scary to look into his eyes. Very nice detail & DOF. Good natural colors & skin tone. Best Regards. Latiff.
