There have many beautiful houses at this village, this house is unique completed with traditional roof tops, and coincide with modern buildings as background. Due to the rapidly development, may be after facade years this village is no longer exist.

Hello Ally,
Interesting contrast and architectural details on the old house. Your framing of this scene is very good. The tones also look good. An interesting view of this city.

ciao Ally,
mi piace il contrasto tra le due composizioni dato dall'inquadratura frontale.
Immagine ricca di particolari e ben composta malgrado la poca luce.

Dear Ally
That's exactly one of the pictures my editors always like to have old vs new. Well seen. You did not have a very nice weather, but that is no wonder in KL. It would had been nice if somebody would had walked by or at least a cat or dog would be on the empty street. Otherwise it's a perfect shot, great sharpness, vine colors and perfect DOF. Well done
Best regards

Hi Ally,
very good shot. The fact you placed the modern building over the the old one creates a more evident contrast. I like a lot the naturatily of the scene by its natural colors/lights. The clothes also contribute for this attractive photo. Well done!

Hi Ally,
The point of view is showing well the contrast between the old house ad the new highrise buildings. The trees and the fence are framing well the house. Your capture is showing the daily activity at the house. The light is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.

The highrise building shows how close the town is coming to the traditional village when the people's way of life may be changed forever. You composed the image well with the apex of the roof meeting the centre of the highrise. I love to see the clothes drying on the fence. I also like the WS with the children.

Hi Ally,
It is a great contrast to see the old and traditional against the new and modern buildings. I like how you capture the tranditional house with tremendous warm colors wiht the clothes hanging on the fence to dry, it is rather charming again the large silver and cold structure. I'm not against modernism. Just a comparison. I would choose to live in a little cozy house than the appartments in large building. Thanks

Hello Ally,
Probably a good symbol of SE Asia including China as the fastest developing area in the world, nowhere will you find more contrasts between new and old! Well I guess the house in front is not that old...
This is a fine documentary, well composed with good details!

Hello Ally,
I like this POV with the juxtaposition of the old house centrally aligned against the highrise building in the BG. To me the house is so much more interesting than the modern highrise, its full of character, its evolving, gate posts extended soon to be the columns for the house extension. The mild steel fencing improvised as a laundry line gives interesting colours to an otherwise boring FG. The photo is unpretentious as it conveys the way it is in the kampong, even the overhead power lines are not cloned.
Good work

Hello Ally
Great contrasts indeed. Not only the architecture but perhaps also the lifestyles of those who inhabit these very different buildings. The clothes hanging on the fence is the real feature though. Well observed and tfs, Marlene

Hello Ally,
thanks for the interesting photos - all the three (including 2 in the WS) are very good! And I even don't know which of the two similar photos I would prefer: the one without the villagers passing by or with the villagers... OK, 50-50 :)
Excellent capture of the old and the new being close "neighbours"! I like the contrast - this is life itself. And I like the composition (maybe I would move the camera a bit to the right, though...)
Warm greetings from Moscow,
Elena

Another beautiful house with an uncommon imagination. Under the roof it must be the attics however in modern mansions it is a space to romantic rooms. At the place the clothes were hanged means that people trust in the passers by. I do not know how the law acts there. Warm regards. Domingos
