SUNRISE IN KOTA KINABALU Photo

Photographer’s Note

Sunrise at the foothills of Mount Kinabalu. This day is the day we were supposed to start our climb up the mountain and on this particular morning at the foothills the sunrise was beautiful. Unfortunately on the next day when we reached the peak of Mount Kinabalu, there was no such sunrise ! ;0(

At the foothills it is about 5,000 + feet above sea level and temperature is cool at about 20 degrees.

I used photodraw to sharpen and enhance colour saturation a little.

Hi Tan, Sabah seems to have some of the best sunrises and sunsets of anywhere i know and this is further evidence of this fact. The reds, oranges and yellows are spectacular. The croped base works well. TFS. Murray.

Hi Tan,

The sunrise is giving nice colors to the sky and a set of shadows to the mountains. The nranches in the foreground ar helping to frame the scenery. The point of view leads our eyes toward the mountains which is giving depth to the composition. Well done, have a nice day.
