Photographer’s Note
6.05 am on top of Mount Kinabalu - highest mountain in South East Asia. Unlucky for us on this day the fog was heavy and we couldnt see any spectacular sunrise as what we wanted to enjoy! As we decide to descend since it was very cold, strong chilly winds with temperature around 5 degrees, this is the scene. We can make out the white rope clearly to guide us down. The rule here is to follow closely the white rope which leads all the way up and down. In case of heavy fog where visibilty is poor, we are supposed to follow this rope and no matter what happens the mountain guides will try to locate us by following this rope if we had not descended by a certain time. In the past there had been incidents where climbers have been lost some fatally when they did not follow this simple rule!
No much colours to see as it is very dark and heavy with fog ! Whatever light that manage to go through the mist lights up the mountain top .
