Islands of TAR Park Photo

Photographer’s Note

Islands of Tunku Abdul Rahman Park, all these are natural islands and not the man made.

A view of my destination, actually three islands are visionable, at the right is Sapi Islands, and at the left have two overlapping islands, one of the island is Manukan Island and also as my destination.

Tunku Abdul Rahman Park is a marine park, is a cluster of islands comprising Gaya Island, Sapi Island, Manukan Island, Mamutik Island and Sulug Island, (3 islands was show by above photo) all only 10 - 20 minute speedboat ride from the city of Kota Kinabalu. The five islands of the Marine Park are characterized by shallow waters, sumptuous coral gardens and all boast splendid white sandy beaches.

Hi Ally,

The presence of the boat has an effect of scale. The point of view leads our eyes toward the two islands which is giving depth to the photo. The scenery is well framed. The reflection of the light on the water is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.

beautiful the shapes of the small islands and the way you framed the things, including the boat that gave more dof to the composition. I guess if you had cut the lower and higer area of this compo, putting bars in the same place, would concentrate the view in the islands and boat, creating a more panoramic view. anyway this is only a version, your image is nice anyway.

The composition is very good, and the distribution of items by the scene, with a good command of the rule of thirds. But personally I would like to clone the buoy may be noted at the bottom, leaving the boat more focused, perhaps half of the two islands, but only a personal detail.

I like this beautiful, simple and refreshing view :) Very pleasant blue colour gamma! (by the way, I also like the reflection on the boat ;))
What for is this ball in the FG? an anchor for something? In any case, this ball helps to create an excellent perspective view with very good depth - with the boat a bit farther and the distant islands at the horizon!

Nice seascape with a couple of rocks rising up in the middle of the sea. Good light and colors, compositionally, it would be nicer if the boat were to be on the left facing in, but not much you can do. Very nice regardless. Thanks
