Photographer's Note
The shelter for rock climbers and mountain trekkers, the elevated boarding is located at Laban Rata, a short walking/climbing distance from the Laban Rata Hostel/Restaurant. Accommodating up to 30 rock climbers, it's more catering to the rock climbing and Via Ferrata activities than for walk up tourists.
The shelter together with the Via Ferrata cabling system, it cost roughly USD250,000, much less than the failed USD1 Million restaurant & boarding construction project 2KM downhill at Layang Layang (KM4).
Almost everyday or when weather permitted, platoons of porters hustled construction material up the 6KM Summit Trail for under 6 months to complete the joint ventured project.
The Pendant Hut is constructed using a "floating" system which contributes less impact on its environment. It requires no in depth foundation as its pillars are bolted to the rockface of this rocky slope. In contrast to the failed project which cleared over an acre of ultrabasic environment.

Hi Rabani,
The sky looks amazing in this shot and you have an interesting POV. Good sharpness, natural colours, and insightful note. Thanks for sharing!
