| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
In memory of the mountain runner who didn't make it but tried anyway, to be the best that he could, against all odds.
Here, he is carried down the mountain, by the mountain rangers. You can read the article/note about him here
STOPPING BY WOODS ON A SNOWY EVENING
Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.
He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

Thanks for sharing this photo Bani. It is so sad but I admire the man for trying. You have chosen an interesting angle to post the photo. God's best laways,
Tim
I have a soft spot for poetry and pictures. More often than not, they take my mind to wander off beyond words and imageries. And here I am today, being presented with both. I am deeply touched. Incidentally, this is one of my favourite poems by Frost. Thanks, Rabani for such a poignant, pensive moment.

A pity for the runner, but rain, cold, wind, altitude - one has to struggle not only with this bad conditions, but also with himself
For what? I run 50 years, but with insight. Very good composition Rabani, and thanks for posting.
Photo très surprenante Rabani, mais j'aime beaucoup la composition. L'usage du Noir et Blanc était une bonne idée.
Bonne continuation.
That is a great photo and quite a touching note. But I wonder why you posted this in landscape and not vertically. Its an interesting experiment though. The BW is creatinga mysterious scene here.
Belle composition et belle image digne d'un bon reportage. Le N&B lui convient parfaitement .Beau travail amicalement/jr
