Photographer’s Note

His name is George. He is a mountain guide working for the Sabah Park Service and he is one of the few that doesn't have any problem babysitting photographers shooting the mountain.

Beside shooting Low's Peak and its surrounding "countryside", there are other peaks and ridges which are more 'vertigo'.

One such ridge is the Commando Col overlooking the Easy Valley which leads to the Low's Gully. This ridge is the "backbone" of Sayat Sayat, the last shelter at KM7.

Most mountain guides come from the hillside villages in Bundu Tuhan and Kiau Valley. They are usually Dusun, an ethnic race in the Kadazandusun ethnic group.
