Taken with a Canon EOS100 film camara, this black bee was going in & out of these purple flowers collecting it's nector with me trying to get a good shot of the little fellow, taken when a tour i was on stopped for a short period to bye some food in Kinabalu National Park. Also taken from a scan that is why i have posted it like this, i will post the original as a workshop

Nice idea, I like yiur conception. Blue flower - it is nice. And black insect - it is interesting to. Well done.

Nice compo! But I would better leave the colored image.
It is more attractive, to my mind!

Good compo and excellent option B&W vs COLOR.

I like both images .. this one is nicely creative ... however, I like the workshop better .. I think the color is a more striking contrast to your black bee.

Voilà une très bonne capture ! J’aime beaucoup l’effet noir et blanc partiel, c’est du bon boulot !
Amicalement et bonne soirée,

I really like this image but I think I like the colourful version even better. I love that you have given us a good look at the bee. Our bees in Australia have yellow stripes, maybe you have some like that too. Excellent shot either way.

I really like this shot. I liked both versions but think I prefer the selective colouring version you originally posted as the colours of the flower are so striking are really catch your eye. I noticed from your profile that you have traveled a lot, I hope to do the same myself one day!

Beautiful contrast between this very warm blue flower and this bee in Draf Vader garb. The black & white background works well on this composition.

Hi Wilson. I'm not a huge fan of this type of shot, but the colour in this one is so beautiful. Perhaps the other leaves could have been lightened a bit, leaving the bee as more of a standout in black. Good scanning job and interesting idea.

This is a very beautiful macro image with partial coloring. The charming love between the bee and the flower is worth watching for minutes...

Very nice idea, very good blue and magenta tones

Hi Wilson. I can follow your idea in this one and the effect is good but I like the original in the workshop better. The bright yellow and green colors gives beautiful light to the photo and it makes me smile a bit more. But a good experimente this one, not bad at all. Good work and nice to compare the two. Best wishes Jens

Hello Wilson! Interesting to watch your workshop and what came out. I like both versions, maybe I prefer the color one, but on the other hand this is a creative act and I like when people try out things. I am still hesitant and maybe a bit shy doing things like that but it might change. Have a wonderful afternoon, Barbara.

Preciosa composición de esa flor y sus hojas desaturadas, el bichito le da vida.
quillo (11856) 2007-08-04 9:05
Hello Wilson, congratulations for this good work of desaturación, I think that to difference with the original one it is that in this one there stand out the colors of the flower that in this case is the protagonist with the bumblebee, I like the result.
A greeting and thank you.

un petit crochet en arrière pour une photo fort artistique avec ce traitement post processing très astucieux.
Et voilà un insecte qui va se régaler. Une composition très nette.

Good morning Wilson,
nice the snapshot with the black bee to be so close to the purple flowers collecting it's nectar.I like the desaturation of the image with the blue flower to dominates the scene.
Have a good week,Danos
