View from the top of Mount Kinabalu, the highest mountain in South East Asia. Extensive trekking was required and it takes 2 days to reach the summit from the foothill.

The first day itself, you have to jungle trek for 8 hours in order to reach the 'base camp', Laban Rata. Upon reaching the camp, you can then refresh yourself, have dinner, and take a nap before starting the journey to the peak the next day. Temperature here is believe to be somewhere around 10 degree celcius.

One will have to start the journey to the peak at 2am the next day before the dawn break. You then ascend through rocky plains and vegetations become rare. By about 6am, you shall reach the peak in time to see the sun rise. Spend some time there absorb the beauty of it as much as you can for you should start descending not later than 9am. By then, it will be very misty and it could be dangerous for the visibility will be bad.

Views from top are superb and it is very cold and windy.
Sea of clouds, colourful sky, beautiful rocky peak and the feeling is just so amazing.

Picture was taken moments just after the sun rises.

Very Nice mann.... It's attracting me to go and take a real look~! I m going to Sabah soon... :P

Hai Zbjernak, the view from Mount Kinabalu is really stunning. Your photo is a bit too centre. But to capture both the sun ray and the clouds in 1, I guess not much of a choice.
