[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is Laban Rata, the base camp of Mount Kinabalu. 6km from the main entrance and at 3300m ASL, this is where you get to sleep and eat. Common washroom with hot showers is provided and the room has a heater in it.

The restaurant is in the ground floor with buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner. You could also go a la carte. Living quarters is at first floor.

It usually takes 4 to 5 hours to get here from the main entrance at Timpohon Gate. From the base camp, it is another 2.7km to set foot on the summit on Low's Peak.

This view is taken near Gunting Ligadan, another hostel higher up, 100m from Laban Rata.

this one is very impressive. I the clouds, making a sea in the sky. The sharpness is perfect, we just feel in the scene. Well done and thanks for sharing !

Another superb trekking shot, Bani. Here's a place where I wouldn't mind having breakfast and staring outside at the layer of fluffy clouds. Great saturated colors on the hillside vegetation in the foreground.
