Wetlands are indeed endangered placed in many parts of the world. We do have wetlands in Canada and lots of time and effort are spent to protect them. Your image show us the beauty of this ecosystem and your note is very explicative about the reasons why we should protect this environment. Good work Vincent.

Yes, I remember the wonderful lotus and water lillies. But 183 ponds it's a really surprised number for me and I never tried something as the wetland walk. I guess that many are private as referred in the excellent informative note. Very beautiful capture of the pond showing the attractive lillies and lotus squished bettween the double image of the palmtrees.

Incroybale de voir cette exubérance tropicale qui donne cette débauche de végétation et de couleurs. Bonne idée d'avoir joué sur le reflet et coupé en 2 l'image. Il est consternant de penser que l'homme ne soit pas capable de préserver de telles merveilles... mais on commence malheureusement à être habitué.

I remember a similar place in Luang Prabang where there was great excitement nearby about a petanque game. Same place maybe? I like the way you have composed this, leaving lots of space for the palm reflections. I think you left some PP evidence in the spaces between the trees, but still a pleasant image

Salut Vincent, instructive note mais avant tout une belle photo, ce qui me plait par dessus tout et tu le sais déjà j'en suis sur c'est la retouche ;-)
Une façon de lisser la luminosité que j'adore et ce p'tit coté BD sur la fin qui réjoui mes yeux.
La compo en plus est belle avec cette réflexion de palmiers.

Bonjour, Vincent. Un splendide décor. Les reflets sont étonnants avec ces nénuphars qui interrompent les troncs des palmiers avec leurs splendides couleurs. Les quelques personnes que l'on voit nous permettent de nous faire une idée de la hauteur des arbres. Je pense que j'aurais un peu ajusté les niveaux, surtout sur la partie de l'étang à l'avant-plan.

Salut Vincent,
Beautiful image to ilustrate the interesting note. One would never think about this being inside an Asian capital. The thumbnail didn't look so promising, mainly because it was hard to understand why the top of the trees were cropped. It turns out that the those tops are to be seen below, in the reflections on the water, which produces a beautiful effect while the use of all that water in the FG gives a nice depth and sense of space.

Une fois ouverte, elle est plus intéressante qu'en miniature, où cela fait un peu marais peu engageant. C'est un peu sombre mais bon, la réflection donne un peu d'air et éclaircit l'ensemble.
