Photographer’s Note

Luang Prabang for me was a place of wonder... the daily rhythm and feel was amazing. Take a local boat across the Mekong and you can visit the lovely village of Ban Xieng Man, which is situation on the other shore.

This photo was composed and shot very quickly to capture the great cloud formations and deep blue sky.

Once again I'm running a little low of suitable stuff to show. This is mostly down to the fact I've not been out to get any new stuff for a while, thanks to the wonders of final year at university.

I like strong clouds like these, always a lot of depth and high contrast and saturation.

Beautiful sky and a low viewpoint highlights the blue expanse.
The filter almost makes the clouds 3D!

Posting a landscape here, it better be good seeing lots of them and this one does it for the depht taking us over the watersurface under an impressive invading cloudy sky, excellent.
(Being momentarely not so active here ... but I will come again)

the sky is the limit they say! but in this shot it is what makes the whole shot! ;-) I have so many fond memories of the Ban Xieng Man village...
