Photographer’s Note
Back at the same village as my photos "the lost child" and "Yes sir!" I took this photo. Two young kids desperate to have their photo taken.
I was lucky with this shot... friendship is a strong thing, but I don't know how many photos I've seen where it shows through quite so powerfully.

Hi Lewis,
Great job on capturing both the image and the spirit of what it says.
Very nice . . .
Thanks for sharing.

Hi Lewis,
Great expression on the two faces. Kids are just wonderful photo objects during travelling.
Great capture.

Very nice indeed, Lewis. The hands are as well an important and talking presence, if one really looks, and so is his scratch. Little regret about the distracting bit of figure on the right, as photography goes, at least.

double portrait very expressive and strong.
I like their faces, their looks, their hands and also the dust and thet scratch.
Very well captured.

What i like most in this photo lewis is the diversity! Laos is a melting pot. The kid on the left is undeniably lao, while i would say the one from the right must have some vietnamese or chinese blood... They look like two little tough kids, two little caids... ready to fight and play tough!
the flaws here for me are the lack of contrast and light, and maybe sharpness too... easy to correct with PS... i did a quick ws to show you what i had in mind. What do you think?

hi Lewis,
Eric is right about this great double portrait..It's all about contrast..And the Ws is a good example.
Anyway, you made a really nice photograph.
Well done.

i have to say i'm not happy with your framing here lewis. that girl in the corner of the shot is bugging the hell out of me.
i like the meaning and the gritty look on the boys' faces. the shot has good personality and spirit ... just ... that ... hair!
the previous workshop only addressed colours and levels. i want to attack your framing! :) i hope that's ok!

I like the expression on their faces but the picture is a little dark and you can probably fix that with PS. It would be a good idea to clone the girl out too ;). I see you already have a WS so I won't do it. I just wanted to say their expression is really well captured. Tali
