Okay, so I cheated a little... I used the clone tool to remove the nasty white bit of fluff. Dodge tool to the girl's face and both of the kids' hair. Different crop and a better unsharp mask (actually, I don't think I had discovered USM when I first posted this).
This was one photo I was really happy with so wanted to give it another shot. I do hope you like it :)

It's hard to say which one. In the old photo, there is mystery in the eyes of the girl even that she seems not so shy in front of the camera and you are right to remove the nasty white stuff.

Nice Lewis. I'm not very good at people pics, but I think you've really caught these kids mood. I think everything about this is perfect. Bravo.
