i love this... superb shot Arnaud, i wouldn't change anything on this one... the dirty look of the B&W, the croped and tilted composition, the feel of everyday life. wow .. well done!

Hi!

I am amazed by your photos. There are two reasons for this -- 1) they are beautifully exposed, nice and contrasty with great compositions. You shoot the photos I like to see. And 2) you seem to be visiting the very same places I did.

I don't know if you recall your "- furtive -" photo from quite some time ago; it was a truly brilliant capture of a Japanese couple in Luang Prabang. The very same couple I spent an evening with and talked to. That seemed exceptional to me but now you have posted this shot of Udomxai months later and it brings all my memories flooding back again. I stayed very close by to the place you shot this photo and remember the area very well.

As for this photo... I was excited to see a new shot by you, it's the first I've seen in a while, and you've not let me down. A beautiful capture of what it is actually like there, with a stunning composition and tilt.

C'est tout bon, en pente douce, la vie suit son rythme. j'aime bcp comment tu as cadré le vélo et le moine qui va sortir du cadre. les gens au fond le chien qui traverse, les panneaux, il y a de l'animation, mais ça va, c'est tranquille. j'adore cette ambiance bien restituée par un n&b impecc !

Salut arnaud,

j'aime bien l'ambiance, limite monotone de la scène avec ces magasins et rue vide. je jeune mon est idealement placé ainsi que les enfants.

Par contre, cet espace à gauche me parait un peu vide, il nous manque qqn ou en autre chien. Je ne pense pas que timing aurait aidé ... le moine Indurain ne serait plus dans le cadre ;o)

Salut Arnaud, un eatmsphere parfaite meme si tout ne marche pas a 100% dans la photo. Il y a parcontre des photos parfaites qui ne nous disent rien...
Le leger tilt ici, les batiments typiques du Laos du Nord et puis ce moine en vol lent a travers l'ecran...super!
