I know this photo is slightly out of focus but something about its composition and the expression of the young lad make me want to share it...

It was taken on one of the small ferries across the Mekong river in Luang Prabang.

Hi Phillip!
I agree, thare is something about this picture. I feel like the kid is looking straight into my eyes, and this way I'm also included inthe shot. It's as If I'm there too sitting on that boat, and that boy in fornt of me jyst turned out, maybe beceuse i said something and he could not hear it welll. NO he has that puzzled look on his face.
I donno, just all this thought came to me

It's a nice composition,nice idea and nice colour, but it's just too soft to get away with. I have one very similar, maybe the same boat. maybe I will post it soon and you can tell me whats wrong with mine. best wishes kevin

Ok, you are right. focus isn't important always. i like this scene too. the boy's look is very nice and totality of shot.
