Along the Nam Tha Photo

Photographer’s Note

We spent a week resting along the Nam Tha river in a simple bungalow. One morning, I was reading my book on the terrasse when this boat passed. It had nothing very special. But the river, the place where we were staying and the terrasse was nice. The photo has nothing exceptional either but when I look at it I still feel the relaxing atmosphere of Laos.

I really like this photo. I very much agree that this is a very relaxing photo.. Within this small frame you get a large sense of the culture, and atmosphere within Laos. You see the top of the terrace, which reminds me immediately of "vacation". The bright orange flowers coming in off to the right that I can only assume are native to that region. And finally the very unique boat, that just seems to really set the mood, and makes for a very nice composition. Good work.
