This is one of many Buddhist Temples in Luang Prabang. The temples in Laos differ in architectual detail in that there is a crest of ornamentation on the center of the roof ridge in Lao Temples that I had never seen in Thai Temples.
Mostly the culture and tradition in Laos was very similiar to Thailand, with some minor differences. Laos tends to be a little more old fashioned in some respects, where Thailand has been a tourism center for quite a few years and has adopted many Western habits not seen as much in Laos. |
