I met these monks inside Tham Chang in Vang Vieng. They were very friendly and asked to take a picture with me. We took a few group photos and when they left I saw them crossing the bridge but they were very far. I snapped the 300mm lense on and shot a few at 300mm and I think this came out the best.

Great capture. The composition works really well. Nice shot!

Sure i like it! It is a very nice picture, with the clothes of the monks giving vivid colours, contratsing with the green and the blue. The bridge gives a very strong motive in the foreground, and the hills at the back having to be guessed.
It is very well done.
Yannick

I liked this composition a great deal, but thought the colors were askew. Check out my workshop to see my changes.

This is wonderful.
A perfect POV.
Very interesting motive, I'm looking forward to you next photos. I love the countries you've visited.

Great colour Skye.
Vang Vieng is a great place, well was when I was there in 2000.
This bridge was not there then, well not in the town.
That 300mm lens is very sharp, I also got one when I bought my D70.
Kevin.

A very nice shot with great contrast, what a lovely colors!
Great POV,very well cropped, too,I like the hazy far background that resulted by your fine DOF,also the light is controlled in a great way, very beautiful, very well detailed and excellent sharpness and quality I see here that I enjoy it very much, nicely done,Skye.
Best to You

Wow this is nice.
I like:
Orange and blue colours in many tones.
The layers of hills in flat blue colours in the background.
The green colour of the tree.
And the position of the tree in the right part of the picture to complete the composition.
The bridge that keeps whole image together with its nice design.

I've noticed that monks on the blue background has darker orange dresses that the ones on the green. Is it possible?

The orange robes stands out well against the darker background and the colour of the bridge nearly matches the robes. I like the misty hills in the distance.

Yes, It's bright, colourful, vibrant and I really like it!!

Except that, you achieved an excellent DOF and composition.

Shelly.

this was the first photo by you that i saw ... i thought i rated it!!

this photo blows me away. the half bridge and monks all disappearing into the trees. it's a great perspective. very clean composition.

framing the bridge higher would create an interesting perspective too. letting us see what's under the bridge and putting the monks higher in the frame. but you were pressed for time obviously!

marvellous shot mate!

Hola Skye

Interesante imagen, me gusta la composición que posee con el bello contraste de colores, la opción de que el puente divida la escena ha sido una gran idea, buen trabajo.
