Photographer’s Note
This pic is a little soft but I like the expressions these two sisters have.
The girl in front was such a spaz (she was great fun!). It started to rain and she became quiet and sat on my porch with her sister. That's when I quickly snapped this shot.
*** NOTE:
As soon as I posted this I decided it was wrong. This could be better... so I reposted a new version as a workshop. It's got a link on this page (just left of this note).
Tell which you prefer.
Cheers!

Hello, Alex. This is a great candid portrait. Good catch light in the eyes. I like the extreme close-up and the one girl's hand on the right. You're right, though, I would prefer for the girl on the left to be sharper. But my main quibble is the heavy border which overpowers the subjects. An image like this doesn't need a border, or if it does, try something thinner.

Lovely portrait. I find your composition great, I like this tight framing and these nice eyes looking at you. They are not really posing, they are just curious. Maybe a little soft, mainly on the girl in front, but not that much that it would ruin the pic. I agree with Eva that the frame is too much, especially with that color. I made a WS to try to correct the sharness a little.

Great picture, however, it is the sharpeness that is holding it back for another point.
But lovely expressions. The border is a bit thick too.

I wonder if the picture is not slightly out of focus. Still, you captured a superb face. On top of that, your composition is really interesting with both girls trying to look closer at you if I understand well. Nice color framing too which enhances the impact of the scene, of their eyes. I love this shot !

Really an excellent portrait. Framing is perfect (but not the frame). So much warmth. I take the liberty to post a WS.

Amazing portrait. The expression of their eyes says a lot. It could be interesting to run the pic in neat image and then use unsharp mask with P.S. Great job Alex.Merry XMas & a Happy New Year.

Magnifique ce duo, le portrait est très bien construit et l'image est chaude et douce.J'aurai peut-être essayer de faire la mise au point sur le premier penfant plutot que sur le second mais j'aime bien aussi. Amicalement/jr
