They already know what their future life roles will be, men hanging around watching street and drinking rice wine, and women working.

Fajne zdjecie, Swiatek. Compo is cool with the kid looking out (probably trying to learn the right way of drinking rice wine from the elders hanging on the corner). The light is amazing as well. Cool stuff, mate.

well great capture, nice composition, his expression, almost an adult

Beautiful. They are so prematurely adultish here. I love the lighting and the composition. Excellent.

Excellent composition, with great control over light and color. A classic portrayal of children.

Hi Swiatek. nice to see your Laos stuff. You go where no one else goes, you know that? Extreme lighting conditions that yield a Rembrandt-like glow to the kids. the blue boy set apart adds so much pathos and drama to the scene - just left out. Cheers Francis

This is a haunting image, Swiatek. The girls and the boy seem to occupy different worlds and yet are held together in an almost unbearable tension by occupying the same space. The lighting conditions are so demanding but you have handled it beautiful. The girls seem self assured and bound together in companionship; the boy seems apprehensive and alienated. This is the sort of picture that invited the viewer to imagine so much more than the image shows. Both the lightening and the emotional content make this a powerful image. Your note seems a little pessimistic, a little lacking in insight, not untrue, but rather one dimensional.
