Photographer's Note

Anyone who's been to Vang Vieng, Laos has probably crossed the bamboo bridge to go to the little island on the river by the market. This scene is what you look out at when you do. The sunset must be like this every night there. Children seem to play in the river all the time. On this one evening I noticed these three and took several shots. This is the one I liked most.

This is just lovely. I like the silhouettes of the playing children. The amber tones of sunset were superbly captured here.

The simplicity of colours in this photo are perfect and enchanting. The silhouettes of the children perfectly set the mood and make this picture so pleasing to the eye! I hope one day I will be able to catch scenes and take photos as perfect as this!!

Cool shot, the kids add a lot, the framing may be a tad too square, I am visually cutting a bit off the top and bottom.

This is a really tranqil scene. I love the sharpness of the silhouettes of the three boys. This is a great portrayal of Laos.

Wonderful sunset landscape !
I think that the silhouettes of the children bring a lot to the composition and drive the eyes look.
Nice colours as well for the montains in the violet tones.

Very nice, I like it. The silhouettes of the kids, the colours and the shape of the hills all combine to give a very satisfying result.
I love the textures of the water, and the crop is very good.

Excellent silhouette shot with all the right ingredients. A good strong horizontal landscape with hills and palm trees with a trio of figures in the foreground.
