You may remember this little girl and her brother. I am presntly rebuilding the kithcen of my house, (hence my absence from TE recently) and found this slide in among boxes, she had too nice a smile just to leave.
TECH: I think it is taken with a NIKON F80
scanned Minolta Dimage scan

I think this one merrits a lot more of attention, so much love and joy it is radiating in a fine soft warm colorsetting, this is a real good photo Elaine, one to be proud of.

Thanks to Tom, for pointing this shot to me. No problem with the softness, probably scan processing. A wonderful portrait, well framed and so touching as it reminds us how little ones are handled with so much affection in these countries, they are rarely touching the ground until they can truly run. She gave you a beautiful gift there with this smile. Thanks for sharing it with us as well.
(some cool shots i missed on this Laos gallery. will be back....)

I wish I had gone to this part of Laos...less touristy and with all the tribes etc. Unfortunately our timeframe was too short and the friends I was travelling with were less "roots" than I am..so I have to come back another time to do a tougher and more authentic trip. However I loved what I have seen so far from the country and the amazingly nice people everywhere!
