This is the Kuang Si Falls near Luang Prabang.

Waterfalls are commonly formed when a river is young.
At these times the channel is often narrow and deep. When the river courses over resistant bedrock, erosion happens slowly, while downstream the erosion occurs more rapidly. As the watercourse increases its velocity at the edge of the waterfall, it plucks material from the riverbed. Whirlpools created in the turbulence as well as sand and stones carried by the watercourse increase the erosion capacity. This causes the waterfall to carve deeper into the bed and to recede upstream. Often over time, the waterfall will recede back to form a canyon or gorge downstream as it recedes upstream, and it will carve deeper into the ridge above it. The rate of retreat for a waterfall can be as high as one and half meters per year.

The Kuang Si Falls, sometimes spelled Kuang Xi, is a three tier waterfall about 29 kilometres (18 mi) south of Luang Prabang in Laos. These waterfalls are a favourite side trip for tourists in Luang Prabang. The falls begin in shallow pools atop a steep hillside. These lead to the main fall with a 50 m cascade. The water collects in numerous turquoise blue pools as it flows downstream. The many cascades that result are typical of travertine waterfalls.
The locals charge a nominal admission fee to visit the site, but it is well main maintained with walkways and bridges to guide the visitor. Most of the pools are open to swimming (although at least one is closed as being a sacred site). Hikers are able to climb to the top of the falls.

Hello, very lovely photo of the waterfall. Nice composition well balanced and the white in the water is well balanced. Very nice and elegant border too. It looks like it could be hanging on a wall.Nice slow shutter speed serves to capture and freeze the flow of the water.

I am back home after driving 23 000 Km in just under 6 months.Sorry that I was unable to keep participating in Trekearth for a while, I was on the move most the time.
So.... you were in Laos not that long ago...... next time you must come to Australia.
You have chosen the POV very well as we can see water going in all directions.
