Hello Steve,
She makes a fascinating gesture, like she wants to take the sky down. The way she looks upwards she also creates a diagonal passing through her hand and going back through the beads hanging from her hat. These colors would probably be regarded as bad taste in the West, but for a little Hmong girl they're just right.

Hello Steve,

Fabulous composition here, he girl's line of sight directed exactly at her raised hand. Perfect focus too, the girl's image being razor-sharp against a well out-of-focus background, and beautiful strong and varied colours.

Her pose and obvious concentration are beautiful. The colours of the costume and the sharpness are isolated from her surroundings by the out of focus BG - excellent camera work.
