Pimai Laos Festival #1 Photo

Photographer’s Note

As same as in Thailand and Myanmar, Laos also has "water pouring festival", which is conducted during the "Pimai Laos festival" On these days, all walkers and passengers are targeted at pouring water, and never get angry even though suddenly poured water. Unique but nuisance for taking photo festival.
But they enjoy themselves very much.

great picture! the lightening is wonderful and you mangaged to capture the right moment! i was in thailand in april when they celebrated songkran there (thai new year). it looks as if they have the same tradition, pouring water over the people.

Hi Takero,
A very good snap shot, "snapped" in exactly the right moment. The movement of the girl to the right and the close interaction with the girl on the bike. Maybe I should have taken away the left part with the other girl, who really has nothing to do with the drama taking place behind her. But still, a very delightful picture!

very dynamic, nice funny scene :) Very interesting! the image looks a bit dark on the BG but I guess the lighting conditions were not the best! besides, I think you wanted to capture the moment itself? Excellently captured moment with the water being splashed onto a bike rider! I wonder how many attempts did you take before that to capture the moment?... did you wait long?
