Hello Julia,
your point of view is superb, it offers an extraordinary view with great depth and many themes along the river. Managing the light, the shade and the reflection in this vast view must have been really hard, but you did a great job. Clarity, capture of details and rendering of atmosphere are excellent. The mountains at the distance look lovely, almost transparent. The longboats and their dark shadows offer a graphic touch. A beautiful photo, well done and thank you!

Very good composition, line the edge of land and river
meet in a corner of the photo,
soft light, a light mist over the mountain peaks

Hello Julia - I love this, Laos is a wonderful country to visit and this shot just encapsulates so much that I love about the place. The 'river of life' is just that and I remember seeing people washing clothes, panning for gold and using it as a highway. Here you have all those DL activities going on. Magical shot which reaffirms my impression of the place. Excellent POV and a real delight to view. Best wishes Rosemary
