While everyone else was up Mount Phu Si for the sunset you found a different place. The view is magical and you timed and framed your shot perfectly so the sun was between the mountains and peeping through the branches. Well done

Danos,
Just when I thought you have given us your best image from Luang Phrabang, here you are again surprise us with another absolute stunning image of the sunset looking through the tree branch. You manage to keep all element nice focus near and far, great sense of depth. Technically perfect. It's a little dark, but that's waht give it the very moody atmosphere. Sorry that I miss some your wonderful images, I was away for couple of weeks. I will try to get to them later.

What a wonderful end of the day scene capture here with the orange sun just above the ditant mountains and spreading soft peaceful light on the green valley floor. Brilliant colors with excellent sharpness and details to this late day beauty.

Colors remind the landscapes in the watercolor of China or Japan.

compared with the former sunset photo with a touch of mystic I find this one rather a bit melancholic - but about as excellent as that. The silhouette of the branches fill the picture (built up of colourful spots) with graphics like an arabesque.

indeed a magical sunset, I like a lot the rich orange and green tones. creative use of branches in the foreground to create a depth to the scene, but also to frame the setting sun, it works really well. and I'd add "decisive moment" as a category, the sun is placed just perfectly between the peaks of the mountains. excellent work, my compliments.

Hi Danos,

indeed, it is magical. What I specially like about this shot is serene and calm atmosphere of the day ending, felt so greatly. Seeing branches outlining the sun in this way it feels like they are putting it gently in arms of a mountain, making sure that it comes back tommorrow unharmed. Light is perfectly balanced, just enough of it to see the scenery of fields and fresh blossoms on the tree and marvelous pastel orange sun, providing this feeling of calmness. Seeing this capture I could also easily imagine being in Japan. :)

A sunset shot from LP, but not the usual ones. Love the way you framed the sun, through the branches, the flaming orange sky. I also like how light falls on the buches of white flowers making them glow. A superb scene, captured excellently. Thanks for sharing this different view from LP
