I took this picture in the city of Luang Prabang in the Peoples Democratic Republic of Laos. The city resides next to the Mekong river, which is the river pictured. There are 22000 people living there which by UK standards is not very many at all. The city is surrounded by jungle covered mountains which are occupied by hill tribes and small Lao communities.
The picture was taken just as dusk was approaching. |
