Vat Xieng Thong in Luang Prabang (Laos).
Vat Xieng Thong is the most splendid holy building in Luang Prabang.
These bas-reliefs decorate a funeral chapel built in 1960 for the last king of Laos.
Please enjoy the colors and the details. Each mosaic is less than 1 cm2. Colors are untouched.
This big mosaic has been made with 12 digital pictures taken with my D2X.
PS: I already posted one picture (without any success) name “a whole temple in a small man” with the tree of life (a bigger picture of the tree of man in also posted in the workshop.

Hi , Michel .
These tiny masterpieces deserve a closer look !
You did a very good job when you put them together:
You manage to make the basic colours from brown to this almost un-definable amazing red to the soft lilac stand out as a unity !
P.S. Now I have your attention , will you please take a look at my comment on your " Solfatares " photo ?
Kindest regards Dorte.

Une très bonne idée de regrouper tous ces exemples de mosaiques from LAOS. Et si tu avais creé une histoire sans le savoir ?
