Photographer's Note
Nam Khan river in Luang Prabang at the dusk. I didn't have my tripod with me so I used some old fence to keep my camera steady and that's why the photo can be a little bit soft and noisy.

Hello Eino ,
A little soft and noisy , may be , but what an oustanding composition ! A tropical vision like in dream . The dark light provides a splendid atmosphere . But i suppose that the same place during the daytime must be wonderful , too .
Thanks for the share .

Hello Eino,
Once I read a description of Laos as the country that still has those elements of the 'original Asia' that are lost in other countries. I don't know if this is true but looking at your picture I remembered that description.
Luang Prabang is, I believe, one of the major towns in the country. This picture, taken with the last daylight, shows us a view of a not really very big city, at least according to the number of lights, with a nice setting in the curve of a river, surrounded by lush tropical vegetation and with high mountains in the background. In short, an ideal image of a interesting destination in the tropics.
The composition is very good, the framing with the leaves and plants on the foreground is excellent. Also the inclusion of that line of lights in the right corner, probably lights along a path.
This is a magnificent shot, making people dream about Laos.
Best regards, Paul

Hi Eino, A brilliant night shot, the blue hour view down the river is spectacular & the silhouette of the palm is a wonderful addition + a great mountain range background, kind regards Wilson.

Hi Eino,
Subtle tone of the dusk is very well depicted with an excellent composition. Silhouette in the foreground makes the last light stand out further. Beautiful work!
Best wishes, Hisashi

Hei Eino,
To me it looks quite sharp, at least on this image size.
Beautiful deep purple tones of late dusk in tropics. All those silhouettes are arranged well around the background showing in the middle. There's also nice lights although I have no idea on the purpose of string of light in the foreground.

Hi Eino,
i am impressed of your control of the light and the beautiful composition. The eyes leads automatically to the nice light from the village and the tree branches are a perfect framing for this shot. I love the soft purple tones. The string of light in the foreground is a little bit disturbing but thats just a minor detail.
I like the overall impression, well done !
Have a nice evening.

Hi Eino,
Fantastic job with a hand held shot of such low light. Yes, I dectect a little bit of noise, but at this size it's really not that visible. What I love most is you have captured the atmosphere just perfectly. as the darkness settle in, yet there is still some light to allow you nice silhouette of the palm trees and vegetation. The different layers of the hills in the distance is also clear visible. One of my favorite city of my homeland. Thanks and sabaidee.

Hello Eino,
The pale pinkish light from the sunset sets the mood here, as the silky warm tropical night is approaching!
Everything is tranquil and relaxing, even the water is as calm as it gets...
A well balanced composition, beautiful colours and a great sense of depth!
Greetings,
Pablo -
