Since I'm currently digging in my archives, here's a little flashback on the umbrellas of the night market in Luang Prabang, with a slightly different point of view from this one.

hi Philippe,
I really like this one. I'm trying to expand my "photographic eye" beyond landscapes, and this is what I would look for - patterns and colours, fairly abstract, but immediately recognizable. I might prefer a touch lighter image, but the shot could look a little dark only on my screen. minor point though, the shot is great as is.

Bonjour Philippe.
C'est une photo qui fait plaisir, tant pour le graphisme que pour les couleurs et la composition. Un vrai tableau dont on ne se lasse pas !

Toujours aussi efficace !
Superbe graphisme, cadrage génial, lumière au top, couleurs acidulées... Tout est bon.
En cette période estivale, je choisirais l'ombrelle mauve pour mettre au dessus de ma coupe de glaces ! (même si l'été est tout relatif en Normandie, évidemment).
Under my umbrella (ella ella eh eh eh eh eh eh). Voilà j'aurais trouvé ma chanson nase de la journée ;o)

I am all in favour of digging archives - one always finds interesting stuff... I like the selective focus, it's really working well on this photo.
the colours are also less predictable, which makes them more interesting in my opinion.

Of all your umbrella of Loas, this is the best, great visual impact, very attractive, beautiful rich colors, excellent graphically stunning. Good POV, good composition, good details and sharpness with such low light. My complements.

Des couleurs douces, et bien naturelles, des détails de textures qui accrochent bien le regard, et un capharnaüm apparent qui est pourtant aussi graphique mais plus inspiré que ton "Cliché de cliché". Bravo!

C'est une idée très sympa d'utiliser ces parasols colorés pour créer une image graphique. Les différentes nettétés rendent la photo encore plus intéressante.

Aaaah...This is what I like Philippe, lovely tight framing of these colourful paper umbrellas of LP market. Like the shallow DOF as well as the sharp focus gradually melts away

Hello Philippe,

Some may argue that the wide open is inappropriate for this kind of picture but I quite like the selective focus here especially with the rich color, it adds a kind of mystery in the shot.
