Photographer's Note
Like everywhere, Vang Vien keeps growing. This little shoreline just a few years ago was grass and sand and a swimming sight. Now it has become a guesthouse and restaurant. Still I had to admit that they had really done a fine job at making a welcoming place to hang out.

Hello Steve,
Somehow in my ignorant mind I still think of Laos as somewhere off the beaten tourist track, but I realize that the country has gone through the same kind of change as the neighbours in recent years. I understand very well the attraction of this beautiful country and I wouldn't mind having breakfast with this kind of view. The colours are great and I like the diagonal juxtaposition of the mountains and the seats.
Best regards,
Gert
