Silkroad travels: Kyrgyzstan
By way of the Kyzyl Art ashuu (ashuu=pass in Kyrgyz) we crossed the northernmost mountain chain of the Pamir, the Chong-Alay Kirkasy, the Trans- Alay. After a time of downhill cycling to 3'600 m altitude we looked back and found that the Trans-Alay was green on it's Northern flank! The snow mountain is pik Korzhenievskovo, 6'008 m asl. It may have changed its Russian name by now.

Hey Dietrich!
Great point of view and a really nice composition, with the river dissecting the photo. The sharpness is equally well done, the colors are I think on-par with the "real colors". A very nice picture overall.
Enjoy

Hallo Dieter!

Interesting view of a very deserted landscape. The photo is very clear and fine in its colours, and so sharp it is possible to count the grains of sand! And the high mountains in the background brings deep and beauty to the photo. I admire your ambition to go by bicycle so far!

Hi Dietrich,
The downhill cycling through the view of such beautiful scenery might be really pleasant.
How many hour did you take from Tajikistan to Kyrgyzstan to pass over the border by bicycle?
I am looking forward to your Silkroad travel report really.
Have a nice day, Hisashi
