Photographer’s Note
Another scanned photo from an old slide...
Probably not easy to understand when you open the photo : not long after sunrise, the sheeps were being milked and their long shade mixes with the black sheeps scattered around... We had spent the night with the family in the same yurt, total 7 persons in a very small space ; my friend and I did not sleep much, because of the slopy nature of the terrain, so we were constantly gliding downwards, almost out of the yurt while sleeping. I found the solution, as my feet were not far from a large countainer of water on which I could lean :))
I've added in the workshop the photo of the family, without the eldest son : you can see the mother preparing gorgeous cream from the milk of her 4 cows and her daughter walking around. Our guide did not know a word of English but the conversation at night was great fun, we could communicate with them with the little Uyghur that I had learnt in west China : all the Turkic languages from central Asia are close to each other, but some more isolated people speak a sort of dialect that is different in each area.
The day ahead was also very tiring because we spent all of it on horses and not used to it, first climbing slowly to a high altitude lake not far from glaciers, then all the way down back to Kochor.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Bonjour Catherine
Another spectacular landscape from Kyrgyzstan. This looks similar to scenes I saw in Mongolia. I like the bg snowcapped mountains, & repetition of the sheep & goats. A superb high vantage point. C'est tres bon!
